A great source for more information about our presidents is their presidential libraries. All correspondence and papers that were written and logged all go to their libraries once they leave office.
John F. Kennedy's library is in Boston http://www.jfklibrary.org/ you can take the tour, read the White House diary or view the timeline. This is a great website!
Lyndon Johnson's library is in Austin http://www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/johnson/lbjforkids/main.htm all of the links are great. You can read his Great Society speech and check out the information on his domestic and foreign policies.
